Sofia, thx. i love this & the way you customized. I tried insert a logo img infront the bloger title at index.php and page.php but unable to display… may i know how to do it and command you inserted to the scripts?

Hi,

I finally found a solution to the question posted earlier about replacing the Wordpress title with a logo for the Fancy theme..

I simply set the float alignment of the title to -9000. This places it far left on the page (so far left that it’s impossible for it to show up anywhere on your page). After this, I set the background image for the header section to our logo.

I just applied a little tweaks to the font size of the title to increase/decrease the space for the header space.

Thanks again! Lovely theme, very clean and flexible.

I love the theme. I am trying to change the text in the sidebar to black text without the black background. Also, How would I center my affiliate banners in the sidebar?

Open up the style.css file and look for the following code:

“.main {
background:url(”img/main.gif”) repeat-x scroll 0 0 #50936D;”

and change it to:

“.main {
background-color:#FFFFFF;”

“#FFFFFF” can be anything you like as long as it’s a valid hex code. You could also use a different background image and either call it main.gif and replace the current image, or if you rename the background image, simply change “url(”img/your-new-background.gif”).

The problem with using plugins for your menu is that with each update of WordPress (and they happen quite frequently), you run the chance of the plugin no longer working and in turn, your site’s navigation breaking a long with the plugin. Relying on a plugin for major functionality of your blog like that just isn’t worth it since you could hard code the menu quite easily and then you know it will work, no matter how many updates WordPress goes through…
